Leta Planz - Anxiety Class

In collaboration with our sermon series, Leta Planz, MSW LISW-S, facilitated a class about anxiety and how it affects our brain.

  • Week 1: Brain Basics of Left Brain & Right Brain: Understanding functioning & what can help

  • Week 2: Brain Basics of Bottom-Up Thinking: What is bottom-up thinking and how can you think/function more effectively

Bio: Leta Planz, MSW, LISW-S
Leta is an independently licensed clinical social worker. She is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Integrated Family and Systems Treatment (IFAST). She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Leta counsels individuals, children, and families with a primary focus on trauma and mood disorders (like anxiety and depression). In addition to this, she completes training for community and professional groups via The Ohio Insitute of Social Services and Ashland University. Leta has a heart for getting research to the people in hopes to promote healthier living and movement toward the person God created them to be.
